GREECE AND THE EU - Convergion of all Individual States to the European Ideal

The global economic circle creates societies of two speeds of development. It is a necessity that all societies-even more the EU STATES - converge to one speed in the immediate future.

For example, the contemporary Greek state- initially a protectorate later on governed through a series of nationalistic dictatorships up to 1974- never managed to preserve the universal ancient Hellenic ideas of freedom and reasoning which were embodied by the Renaissance states and the modern nations of North Americans.

Common sense is of lack in contemporary Greece ; in Greece s modern politics whoever speaks loudly prevails. The collapse of the public sector in Greece makes it even more difficult for the private sector to survive and thrive. The politicians live in their own virtual world. The honourable vice president of the government seems to believe in his statement that no corrupted politicians run around corrupted citizens. Reasoning and debating is not our best cultural traits. Maybe Reason itself felt ashamed and run away from Greece . It seems we can not even follow the conservative European Union path .

What is the European Union ? A conservative organization to preserve the European idea, the European man , the European way of living .

Europeans can no longer afford to debate and act with the rhythms of the previous 60 years or so . The years to come, count now. . All European states have to assimilate to the European Union ideal where all EU countries have equal rights and responsibilities towards the coherence of the Union ; a Union based on the three axes of Ancient Hellenic values , the Roman law structure and Christianity.

The development of the European continent as a concrete entity, as one euro-zone for all European countries, will contribute to the planetary development. All European regions- Germany , the countries of the north , Greece and the countries of the south –should converge to the European ideal.

Else,

It is a valid possibility that by the time EU fully integrates all of its states, China will own all EU bonds. Maybe we all start learning Chinese by then.

During 2010 an Armenian priest was killed at Pontos , Turkey . During the summer a catholic bishop was murdered as he was on his way to the religious congress in Cyprus ; he was the main speaker in charge of Vatican s ideology section. Last but not least, the disaster outside a Coptic Christian church in Alexandria gives the finale at the eve of the new year; a bomb exploded killing more than 30 persons at once.

This should make us all –at least all thinking people- to wonder. Why should innocent people praying to their god be the victims of extremist violence and have such a sudden death? No cause justifies the extinction of any person. No conscientious person in the universe deserves to have the thread of his biological life suddenly cut.

Even if this was their choice, even if some shared the idea that a sacrifice to preserve a society s values so to keep their own model of development is a just cause, the sudden death of a certain social model will still occur and no extra value to this sacrifice might be given.

No unique social development can now stand on its own. A simultaneous universal convergion to all levels of development,is needed for all regions (the AMERICAS, EU, CENTRAL ASIA, AFRICA,RUSSIA,CHINA AND EAST ASIA).

We all need to surpass ourselves. All persons can co-exist and develop together in this planet we call the Earth.

While science developed rapidly in the 20th century to grasp the great forces of the universe-gravity, electromagnetic forces, nuclear power –societies remained relatively stagnant; no permanent development towards the open society has actually occurred.

For example, the contemporary Greek state- initially a protectorate later on governed through a series of nationalistic dictatorships up to 1974- never managed to preserve the universal ancient Hellenic ideas of freedom and reasoning which were embodied by the Renaissance states and the modern nations of North Americans.

We can no longer afford to think and act in terms of the past; societies have always been uneven, suited best, for those constantly developing at all levels. Our time as a human kind runs up. There is no alibi for anyone. We either quickly develop at all levels - social, economic, religious, scientific- to a panhuman socioeconomic society or, the forces we have unveiled will be sufficient to lead the planet to its absolute disaster.

All socioeconomic regions- even the so called developing societies- can no longer delay progress. It is a valid possibility, that before science reaches a unified theory of fields in order to utilise free energy and exploit the stars, there will be no humans on the planet; not because of environmental factors or exhaust of the fossil fuel, but due to a fatal destruction we will have caused to ourselves via proliferation and use of nuclear weapons and the other mass destructive weapons as physicist Michio Kaku believes.

It is a matter of moral obligation for all links of the chain – regional leadership , scientists ,environmentalists , religious leaders, the so called extremists and last but not least the conscientious plain people- to contribute to a concrete ,simultaneous planetary development within the next 50 years or so , else there is no future for our kind of species .Earth will not be inhabited by humans any more.
